Career Training

Further your knowledge, or become a professional...

Whether you simply want to know what to do in a canine emergency, or are interested in becoming a professional dog trainer, we can help you.

One of Dog Training Ireland’s defining factors is that we place great value in continued education and certification. Education lies at the foundation of improving the welfare of dogs in our society. To this end we provide courses to the general public who are interested in pursuing a career with dogs.

We have a number of accredited courses that will help prepare you to work in this industry. Whether you wish to set up your own company or seek employment in this growing industry, our courses will start you off on the right foot.

Dog Training Ireland is recognised as a pioneer in the Dog Training and Behaviour industry. We have been first to market with many innovational services and have brought professionalism to the world of pet dog training. We were the first in Ireland to open up a professional Dog Daycare and our training and behaviour services are highly regarded by the veterinary community. Since 2004, over 5000 dogs have attended our training and behaviour courses and our Daycare averages in excess of 40 dogs per day.

In 2010 we won the “Best Small Business” award from the Fingal Chamber of Commerce.

The classroom is an adult learning environment therefore we cannot accept minors under the age of 18. The minimum entry requirement for our career courses is Leaving Certificate or equivalent. Life and work experience will be considered.

All courses require you to have access to and use the internet. You must have a working email account and be able to read, send and reply to emails. You will also need to be able to use basic computer programs such as Windows and Microsoft word/word processing applications or Apple Mac equivalent. For some courses you will be required to submit video evidence therefore you will need to be able to record yourself and share the video file using email or by providing a USB key, CD or other file storage method.
