I'm glad to hear poor homer is feeling better. You also made me sit up and take note Reds got one of those puppy kongs he loves it, I went in and had a look at it the rim around the middle is breaking up, its been bined, you automatically think that because its a kong toy Its going to be safe, forgetting that Red is now 18months old and no longer a pup. I'll have to get him the big boy version. Healing thoughts for a speedy recovery for Homer.

Thanks Therese, he's much better now thank God, getting stronger each day. The particular toy would be considered a quality toy, but it is designed for puppies rather than adult dogs. But as you say all new toys should be given under supervison to ensure safety :) Happy Christmas :)

My heart went out to you, Lisa, when I read your blog about Homer and what he has been been through recently. I know how worried you must have been during the investigation period and can appreciate you probably still retain some anxiety about him.Thank you for posting this blog - it is a salutory lesson for all regarding cheap toys and leaving them with their dogs unsupervised. Also I share your incredulity that it took 2 months for the problem to manifest itself - almost unbelievable! All good wishes to Homer for a full recovery.
