URGENT APPEAL FOR DOG STOLEN AT DSPCA SHETLER

On Tuesday 9th September at approximately 4.30pm one of the shelter’s dogs Fred a black and white Great Dane, approximately 8 months old was stolen.

A man claiming to be interested in rehoming Fred asked could he walk him to get to know him. He took the dog for a walk in the grounds and then went out the front gates where we believe a car was waiting.

Fred is a beautiful dog who had come to us underweight a couple of weeks ago. He is still under veterinary care and we are very anxious to get him back.

He is very large even though he is only 8 months old and his marking is very distinctive and wont be mistaken.
The man is described as being in his twenties, average build with very short/shaved hair and an earring. A car was seen speeding near Stocking Avenue shortly afterwards with the dog in the back seat. The car, a maroon/gold metalic saloon type was being driven by a woman with dark hair and glasses.

Gardai in Rathfarnham are investigating the case and anyone with information should contact them or the Dublin SPCA shelter in Rathfarnham. 01 4935502/04
